Anger had hovered my myopic view
Our glowing love I had off with a puff
In a web of my own I've been caught
Reality now stares me in the face
My swollen ego left at your verdict
Seems your shadow I now chase
Teary-eyed,I remembered how we started
The gone yesterdays now like a dream
A dream I desire eternally seasoned
For the present I crave to trim
Hadnt sailed carefully when the storm came
Should have yielded to your calls
Had thought it would get better with time
Helplessly I now watch as my love drowns
Thought I was making you a standard
Didnt know I was rather setting it
My hold shouldnt have been that hard
Never knew you were choking in the heat
All I had thirsted for was peace
You breath alone I now feel
Your shadow alone I see
Had kissed the wall,your lips I meant to seal
Our yesterdays I tirelessly trace
A quest I hope not in vain
Today's troubles are but a phase
For there is no gain without pain
On bended kneels I sought you love
How much I hate today
Please renounce your crippling verdict
And give another chance for yesterday.
